Perfect size to mount in my pass through of the rv. Holds the 50amp cord cery well
The RVGUARD RV Power Cord Reel is very useful here in our motorhome park in Central Florida. The summer sun is brutal on RV power cords. If any length of it is left out, the rubber melts and the cord is deformed if not ruined. My solution has been to cover the cord coiled on the cement pad with a heavy rug section. With the reel, now I can wind up my 50 amp cord and use a canvas cover over the reel and cord. Some of the newer coaches in the resort have reels built into the bay of the motorhome making protection and power hookup convenient. The black reel is very sturdy, so it handles the weight of our 30 feet long power hose well (Max. Electric hose length for the reel is 50 feet). My wife and I can lift the hose on the reel and place it in a large bay we have on our motorhome. That makes it easy to attach to park electric boxes when we travel. The Power Cord Reel is easy to assemble with only 2 tools: a Philips head screwdriver and an adjustable crescent wrench. This is an excellent product by RVGUARD.
The cord fits! Seems to make things a lot easier. Have not been out on a trip yet.
The reel was fairly easy to put together, except for one problem: 2 screws did not have slots in the head, so they were useless. Would have been great if the instructions told you the size screw. Went to the store three times and finely gave up. The screw fir at the store but not the reel. One other issue that is not the fault of the company. The first reel I bought showed up and looked fine until I opened the box. The box inside had been packed and it was totally damaged to the point where the two sides were bent very badly. Had to drive 75 miles to exchange. This seems to be a problem with Amazon employees packing things they know are bad. It cost Amazon and it cost us.
